This hand of strength is capped with an organic textured sterling silver handmade fitting . Carved in black horn  - naturally and ethically sourced . beef bone. Looks and feels like ivory. The very fine hand has been hand carved by JJ my wonderful friend that discovered bone carving as a therapuetic tool when in rehab many years ago. 

Inspired by the figa hand charms which the gesture uses a thumb wedged in between two fingers. This gesture is most commonly used to ward off the evil eye, insult someone, or deny a request. Because of its origins in Southern Europe or Latin Europe, the gesture was imported to Latin America.

This hand is a  raised fist, or the clenched fist, is a symbol of solidarity and support. It is also used as a salute to express unity, strength, defiance, or resistance.

Model wears this exact one with others slightly different but same size.
